Schaefer recently completed work on "Detachment" starring Adrien Brody, premiering at the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival .

She is a veteran of the New York stage, having performed with EST, Atlantic
Theater Company, LAByrinth, Soho Think Tank and Chicago City
Limits Improv, and co-starred in the critically
acclaimed "Macbeth: A Walking Shadow" and Robert Lyon's
play "The Doorman's Double Duty" (which the New York Times called "a
gem").
Her television work includes CBS
Daytime's "As the World Turns" and
NBC's "Conviction" opposite Eric Balfour.
Other film
appearances include Robert McCaskill's "Heterosexuals," Justin
Lerner's award-winning film "The Replacement Child" (trailer at www.thereplacementchild.com) and David Scott Faris' recently released "Setting Pace."
She
is slated to reprise the role of Anna in a remounting of "Virtue,
Desire, Death and Foolishness" an adaptation of Chekhov short stories
that first appeared in Hudson, NY in 2009.
Celia
is an alumna of The North Carolina School of the Arts and is married to
the writer/director, Robert McCaskill. |
